Not many things can be as disruptive to a home owner than arriving home to a flooded basement, or taking the stairs to the lower level and discovering standing water everywhere you look and thinking “what now?”. There can be quite a lot of damage from water logged carpets, cupping hardwood floors, and water damaged drywall. Wet contents can also be ruined especially if the water damage has been ongoing for a while before being discovered and irreplaceable items like photo albums and family heirlooms can only add insult to injury. So if you think that drinking tap water isn’t doing you any favours because of all of the lead, sewage, pathogens, bacteria and of course the nasty animal waste that can pollute it you are going to be shocked by this article.
If you are a fan of drinking bottled water would it shock you if I was to tell you that there is nobody at all assigned to check if the water is clean for you to drink? The Envrionment Agency only covers tap water so there is no one at all to check bottling companies.. (more…)
